Zane Schartz: President

Zane is the Founder of Freedom Commercial Real Estate. He has worked in private equity real estate investing for over 7 years and was the Chief Investment Officer of a firm with over $700MM of AUM. He successfully managed a portfolio of 6 commercial real estate funds with over 60 assets. He is a partner in over $300MM worth of commercial real estate, has a multifamily portfolio of over 1,200 units and directly manages over $150MM of commercial assets. Zane is passionate about maximizing returns for investors and adding value to their portfolios through using creative methods to generate wealth. He attended Liberty University where he played college hockey and graduated with a degree in business marketing and management. After graduation, he went on to play professional hockey for three years in North America and Europe. Zane attends Eastside Community Church in Dallas, TX. His biggest goal in life is to create a non-profit organization that funds Christian missionaries around the world.

Ron Meador: Financial Management Expert

With more than 40 years of experience in financial management, Ron Meador is a CPA who brings invaluable insight to the team. He has served as a CFO and held other leadership roles in the real estate, technology, and non-profit sectors. His rich background and proven track record make Ron a critical asset to our team, where his expertise increases the efficiency of the investment process.

Bethany Runnels: Asset Management

Bethany has 3 years of asset management experience in commercial real estate. Before that, she worked in business development and focused on relationship building to help companies grow. Prior to joining Freedom, she helped with asset management of a portfolio of 60 commercial properties with $150MM of AUM. She brings experience in reporting, national tenant relationships and project management. When Bethany isn’t at work, she enjoys hanging with friends, playing sports, game nights, and serving at Austin Ridge Bible Church.

Derrek Schartz: Marketing

Derrek Schartz brings over 35 years of successful sales and marketing management experience to the team. His track record stands testament to his ability in growing revenue and corporate visibility. Besides his extensive sales and marketing expertise, his role involves drawing upon his expansive industry connections to identify potential opportunities for the firm.
